Artist Statement
Throughout my undergraduate education, I have expanded and diversified my art style and honed my technique in a variety of mediums (such as watercolor, gouache, color pencil, and digital art). In my drawing practice, I am constantly working on and developing original characters, exploring their clothing styles, and creating new worlds for them to inhabit to imagine new contexts for. Over the course of the past seven years, I’ve been analyzing animation techniques and am an avid consumer of all animated media, taking inspiration from Western cartoons and anime alike for world-building scenarios. In addition, collaboration is a natural part of my working process, and I enjoy the opportunity to interact with other artists. Working with people outside my own experience helps me apply more unique views to my work. Overall, my work is constantly improving, and I'll always enjoy sharing it.
